Meet our newest Elements - an antioxidant-rich facial SPF made for skin, not just the sun. The technology in UV AOX Elements not only protects your skin outdoors, with 100% mineral actives to reflect and scatter UVA and UVB rays, but also protects your skin indoors by blocking 56% of HEV (blue light from screens), which is 39% more than our original UV Elements formula. This tinted sunscreen contains antioxidants that help to combat signs of photoaging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, and is proven to reduce detrimental effects of multi-environmental aggressors (i.e., UV, Ozone and PM) by 96%. Slightly orange, doesn't dry, tint rubs off easily
I love the Elta MD UV Clear but want something waterproof so I thought I'd give this a try. Being octinoxate-free means it could be ideal for the next Hawaii vacation (whenever that might be)! But I don't love it. Although the tint blends well (no streaking or patchiness), my medium tone reads faintly orange. The consistency is slightly heavier than UV Clear but still feels light when applying. But I find it does not dry, even after 1 hour and leaves my face with a tactile sheen. I blotted with a tissue which helped but I wonder if that compromises the effectiveness. And I find that the tint moves and rubs off under a mask. I ended up with tint on my lips even though I did not apply the sunscreen on my lips. This is a no for me.

Fabulous SPF!
Do not sleep on this sunscreen! I know the importance of SPF but all SPF makes me break out (even the non-comedegenic kind) so I never wore it regularly. I used the EltaMD UV Clear (specifically for acne-prone skin) and even that gave me a zit or two (it was still good though). But this stuff is incredible!! I've been wearing it instead of makeup, but it does mix well with makeup too. At night I make sure to double cleanse to get off all SPF residue. Something else I noticed is that it has a pore smoothing/tightening effect, which is not advertised but when I wear it, wash it off, and even the next day, my pores are smaller! This tint has a nice dewy finish as well, oily skin types - it is not matte, but could be used with powder around the t-zone. The tint works for me (light skin with redness on cheeks) but would probably be too dark for a fair-skinned person. Because this is a mineral sunscreen it is better tolerated by people with sensitive, reactive skin and I have had no breakouts, just smoother pores. This stuff has me converted!!

I like this tinted sunscreen very much. It's easy to apply. It's hydrating for my dry skin. Looks like a dewy tinted moisturizer. The color might be too dark for someone with fair skin color.

So far so good
Just started using this, switched over from another tinted sunscreen. The last was a little more sheer, this one is definitely a bit more heavy! Hoping it continues to work well. Doesn't seem to settle into pores. Update: skin didnt react well to this one, but I tried this brand in another type and it works great!

Not for me at all
I bought this sunscreen because it is a holy grail sunscreen of a favorite youtuber of mine, whose other recommendations always work for me. But this sunscreen did not work for me at all. It was not hydrating, the tint was too dark, and it pilled. It was flakey and gritty. I did not even wear it with makeup and it was still so bad I returned it. Maybe I had a bad batch but, if not, then this is not for me at all.

New Favorite SPF
This is perfect for my dry, sensitive skin in the winter; I apply it over my moisturizer. The finish is somehow matte yet glowy - I'm not left looking oily, but my dry skin is still nourished and not flaking off and I have a natural looking glow. In the summer when my skin turns to normal, this will probably suffice as a moisturizer and SPF combined in one, which will be great to simplify my routine and make it faster. The color is great for olive to tan skin. Just be aware that as you reapply throughout the day, the color will continue to build and start to look a little more like foundation, and it might be too dark as you put more and more on throughout the day if you're on the fairer side. Just so you know!

Great Sunscreen for my Sensitive Skin
I have super sensitive skin and have had a lot of luck with Elta MD. This is my first time using a tinted sunscreen and I really like it. I have fair olive skin and I feel like it just makes me look a little healthier. This is a bit thicker in texture vs. the clear mineral one, so I will probably stick with this for winter, and the clear in summer when I want something lighter. Definitely would recommend trying this one!
