Best sunscreen ever
This is the most wonderful sunscreen ever. I have oily acne prone skin and have used many sunscreens in the past, drug store and higher end department stores. This sunscreen melts into my skin immediately, leaving a matte finish. It does not cause oil production through out the day. best of all, it seems to keep my break out under control. The one thing Im not to crazy about is the smell, never the less, I love this product.

This sunscreen has a strange smell to it. I wore it once and don't think I can wear it again. Worked really well as a moisturizer before my makeup and didn't cause any breakouts. Too bad it smells bad.

Best lightweight everyday sunscreen I have ever used!
I have acne-prone, oily skin and have tried many moisturizers with sunscreen in them to wear under my makeup. Elta MD UV Clear is the only sunscreen I have tried that is actually effective and lightweight. It does not make your skin greasy and you can't even tell you have it on. Most importantly it is very effective in preventing sun burn.

I am at the phase of skin treatment where I am attempting to clear my skin of the blemishes from past acne. My dermatologist recommended I use this on top of the prescription topicals I currently use. This works very well as a moisturizer and a sunscreen and has not clogged my skin or caused any acne. I credit my derm for my (newly) clear skin, but this product works well in concert with everything else I use.

Not enough protection
Everything about this was great - the lightweight texture, ease of applying, no residue, no scent...unfortunately after trying out for two days in a row in sunny May weather with a UV index of at least eight, I came back with a ruddy face and neck. I don't know if I would call that a burn exactly but my skin felt tight and dry afterwards and I was expecting not to get any color. I burn after five minutes I think and should have been well protected for at least three hours - I did the math. I used to use Vanicream SPF 60 which was great but too thick and greasy. I haven't found anything as good as that so far that completely prevents any sun from getting through to my skin and that doesn't irritate my highly reactive skin. I would recommend this product to those who don't need as high of an SPF on their faces, especially those with medium to darker skin.
