EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - Tinted calms and protects sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts from the sun's harmful rays. The universally flattering tint blends to match your skin tone and mask discoloration and breakouts to give you a smooth, flawless-looking complexion. Healing niacinamide alleviates inflammation to calm your acne flare-ups and helps decrease signs of hyperpigmentation.

My staple sunscreen
After trying many products, I've finally settled on this sunscreen for daily use after weighing pros and cons. First, my sunscreen basics: no obvious white cast, does not cause acne breakouts, and does not sting my eyes. No tugging and extra time is needed to apply it, and I don't have to worry about transfer. There is a slight white cast to it, which is not bad on my skin tone, but sometimes when I use a lot of layers I can look a little grey (my Mac shade is AB7 5.0 in their Matchmaster range). It may be a little drying sometimes, but dry skin is not a daily concern for me. I am a little confused about the inclusion of lactic acid. While lactic acid can help with dark spots; for skin of color/Fitzpatrick 4 and 5, it is best not to use photosensitizing ingredients/actives during the day because we are prone to long lasting hyperpigmentation. I don't think I would use this if I was to be outdoors most of the day, or if I lived somewhere warm, but I work in a windowless office and live in the Pacific Northwest!

Best Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin
I have very very picky skin and get clogged pores very easily. I also went through a very stressful phase where my skin developed severe cystic acne. After multiple visits to various derms, and my persistence that sunscreen clogged my pores, they insisted that I try this UV Clear version of EltaMD. I ordered tinted because I'm fair skinned and always like a little boost of color. Over a week, I realized that I LOVE this sunscreen and the tint makes it even better. My skin slowly healed from a combination of other products and to my shock, the sunscreen didn't aggravate my skin. Since trying this sunscreen 2 years ago, I've strayed a few times but always come back. Truly the best sunscreen!

Prefer tinted over original version
I saw this recommended by my favorite skincare guru, Jordan Harper, and had to give it a try.
