EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - Tinted calms and protects sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts from the sun's harmful rays. The universally flattering tint blends to match your skin tone and mask discoloration and breakouts to give you a smooth, flawless-looking complexion. Healing niacinamide alleviates inflammation to calm your acne flare-ups and helps decrease signs of hyperpigmentation.

Good but lacking tint
I purchased the UV Clear because it doesn't contain silicone, and I really like this facial sunscreen for that reason. However, the "tint" is very subtle and essentially non-existent. With the other brand that I use, I am able to use my tinted sunscreen in place of my mineral foundation because it provides just the right amount of tint to even out my skin tone. Unfortunately this Elta UV Clear product doesn't do that. Otherwise it's a great quality product and is very sheer and lightweight.

Holy grail!!
Holy grail sunscreen! Lightweight, quick absorbing, hydrating. AND most importantly for my fellow POCs how there, neither the tinted or the untinted version leave a white cast! The tint shade is very light (medium-light, to be exact), so I'm not sure how it performs on darker skin tones, but for me the color is so sheer I barely notice when it's on.

It feels like a light BB cream, no need to use a foundation to even out skin tone. However, the color is too light for my skin and I personally prefer the UV Daily which is slightly darker.

Pills terribly
It's almost impossible to apply an adequate amount to get SPF 46 protection. This sunscreen dries too quickly, and pills while you're trying to distribute it evenly. It does leave a sheer white cast when applied heavily (as sunscreen should be). Pump usually stops working near end of use, so you have to open the bottle up and scrape the last bits out.

This product comes highly recommended from multiple dermatologist PA's. I gave it a try, and it did not disappoint! The tint comes out of the bottle darker than when applied. The only downside would be its very light texture, makes it seem that it does not provide full coverage.

Great sunscreen for sensitive acne prone skin
I have very oily acne prone skin with massive pores. I use fabior foam (the strongest retinol available with a prescription) and spironolactone, so my skin is super sensitive, can be dry and flaky on some areas and still have an oily t zone. This stuff helps alleviate the dryness but also doesnt make me break out, and is light enough to wear in humid weather. I still have to wear primer and concealer when I want to mask my massive pores, but i like that this stuff doesn't create a white cast like the original. I also really like that theres no detectable fragrance.
