Dries my skin!
Been using this for over a year on and off. It goes on smooth but then I started noticing my skin is flaky and dry, I thought because it was winter but eventually realized this product actually dries my skin out really bad.

This is Tinted - reacts to my foundation
I usually order the regular lotion without the tint and use it religiously for my travels. The tinted version appears to react to my spf15 foundation and causes clumping. This type of reaction happened when I use a night cream with my spf foundation. Not sure what the similarity is there. Any way, I will have to order another untinted product and keep this one for no makeup days.

Bye bye foundation
My esthetician gave me a sample of Elta MD UV Physical Tinted and told me she didn't think I needed foundation; just some tinted moisturizer and concealer. I was skeptical but this product really beat my expectations! I add a second layer to reduce the redness on my nose and cheeks. The tint is subtle and blends beautifully. Somehow this works with my oily skin too! And here I was thinking I would be a powder foundation girl forever! One caveat: like the UV Clear, which I tried first, this isn't enough moisture for me on its own. Even though my skin gets oily throughout the day, it feels dry after I wash it. So I apply some light Cerave moisturizer with hyaluronic acid first, then my skin feels comfortable all day. I love that I can finally have reliable sun protection without a white zinc oxide sheen.

finally found my holy grail sunscreen!
Pros provides perfect tint for my skin tone; doesn't look too white-casty but also doesn't provide intense coverage-almost like a bb cream! leaves a natural finish, not dewy/shiny but not overly matte. has no fragrance or drying alcohols that can irritate or age your skin prematurely. purely physical filters if youre trying to avoid chemical filters Cons by the end of the day, your skin will feel drier but I have found that applying moisturizer liberally 10 minutes before applying the sunscreen helps it to be less drying (is not immediately drying, but if you apply it at 8 am then by 8 pm you'll definitely feel drier) not easy to reapply,I have only attempted to reapply over it once and it looked extremely whitecasty and pilled a bunch. this means its probably not the best choice if you spend all day in the sun! all in all, the pros outweigh the cons for me. It has completely replaced foundation for me because I love the way it makes my skin look naturally even. It also doesnt need to be set with powder because it dries down in just a few minutes and helps skin look less oily! the price you get for the number of ounces is way more affordable than a majority of good quality facial sunscreens. sidenote, I have also tried the EltaMD tinted SPF 44 but that comes in fewer ounces for a higher cost and leaves your skin looking shinier than this one. I always had to set it with powder and it looked less natural, the tint also was a bit off for me. Because of these reasons, I prefer this one!

Good sunscreen!
I'll be honest I didn't like the sunscreen at first because it kept balling up on me and exentuating my dry patches. But I switched to a different moisturizer and waited a few minutes before sunscreen application and now it goes on beautifully! I love that it slightly evens out my skin tone. One little thing would be that there is a slight white cast even though it's tinted. I'm a medium skin tone.
