Pricey but I love the concept!
This compact is beautiful and very high quality! It’s a bit pricey for a small compact mirror but it is Jane Iredale so that is to be expected. If you have the extra cash, I recommend… sometimes it’s nice having an extra mirror on hand!

shocked at cheap-seeming quality for the price
The weight and look of this was shockingly cheap to me, to the point that it arrived with a small scratch on it even though it was packed in cardboard and not yet touched by me. It was my first experience with the company, which I really want to like because of the pro-nature stance they try to convey. I *know* they say they want it to be recyclable, although it is a kind of plastic that is not recyclable near me at all and it seems like it might break fairly easily, but why not make it of metal that will last forever then? I am wondering what the 'earth-friendly' materials they say it is made with could be, when it's plastic and a mirror and maybe tiny metal bits in the hinge. I returned it.

Nice but doesn't close properly
this is a nice compact and works very well. however, the closing mechanism on mine doesn't snap closed very well. I have to work at it to get it to catch.

I think they coulda made a denser material compact as pretty. I woulda even paid a few bucks more. Seems cheap.

Did they change the packaging?
My last compact was heavier and more sturdy. This one is lighter and feels cheap. Scratches easily. It's beautiful none the less.
