With Patience it Works!
After two months of solid use, I really have noticed the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks breaking up and fading quite a bit! You have to be patient, you cannot expect years of pigment to be reversed in a week! Also, a little goes a long way with this product- don't overapply or you'll waste it. Definitely will continue to use, combined with consistent SPF and avoiding excess sun exposure to prevent re-pigmentation.

Obagi is great Dermstore CS is not.
If you're wondering what the FX stands for, like I was, here is my story: I placed an order for three Obagi products. After receiving the order I noticed the letters FX on two of the products and wondered if I purchased the appropriate products for my skin type and sent a message to customer service asking if the products I purchased were from the normal/oily or the normal/dry system. The representatives could not answer my question even though I tried a few times to make my inquiry as clear as possible. Representative FAYE replied telling me that the FX products were for oily skin but could be used for all skin types and that I could return them if I desired. I now know from messaging Obagi that her response is incorrect; the FX represents the ingredient arbutin and the products not labeled FX contain hydroquinone (nothing to do with oily/dry skin). Before I messaged Obagi I went back and forth with customer service three times trying to get an answer until they stopped responding to me!! Really? First you provide false information and then when questioned about that information you stop providing customer service altogether?! I suggest that if you don't know the answer to a customer's question you should research it. I realize you can't know everything about a product but giving incorrect information is not good customer service and ignoring a customers emails are not either!

My New Favorite!
Love this product! I have severe hyperpigmentation and melasma that I've struggled with for years now. This is one of the only products that has truly helped change my skin's appearance after only a month of use. I have literally tried everything even laser treatments that were overpriced and not worth it in my opinion. If you are at your wits end with trying to even out your complexion don't give up. Obagi could be exactly what you've been searching for all along.

Has made my tone even
It's removed 80-90% of the blotchy, redness or darker coloration I had over my face. My skin tone is very even, clear, and light now. It also helped with undereye discoloration, but I didn't have a lot to begin with. It took about 2 weeks to see this nice uniformity. I also use Blend FX at night with tretinoin, but I started that at least 2 weeks before the Clear FX. I saw some results with the Blend FX, but adding the Clear FX (so I'm getting arbutin twice a day) has really made a remarkable difference.
