ok - not as good as SkinMedica, IMO
I had been using SkinMedica 1% Retinol and loved everything about that but the price tag. I decided to switch over to Obagi since it is much more affordable and I'd heard great things about the brand. I used the full tube (it lasts awhile!) and didn't have a negative experience by any means - but I just felt my skin didn't show the same level of benefits as with SkinMedica.

I find it not greasy and it is easy to apply in the evening, after a serum. It dries quickly too. I like how this retinol has a high concentration of 1%. I just started using it, but I like it so far.

Before buying the 1.0, I used the 0.5 retinol. I wanted to up the strength because I was seeing great results after almost finishing the 0.5 tube. The 1.0 is significantly stronger and I have to be extra careful in the sun. Next time, I think I might get the 0.5 again.

I've only been using this product for a month, but seems to be working great! I can only use it a couple times a week, but I live in Florida, and it is really keeping my melasma at bay around my jaw line. My minor wrinkles are starting to look more faded (a big plus!!). I have super sensitive skin and as long as I don't overuse this product, there is no redness or dryness. I also put my moisturizer over the product. Pores are also starting to look smaller and I hope some of my acne scars start to fade soon too!

I've been using this every- other night. It works well. Helps brighten skin. I noticed just some slight peeling in some areas after a week or so. This is per usual and stated as a possibility with new use. The peeling passed. I didn't notice any additional sensitivity with my already sensitive skin.
