SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.

- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

Go-to for Sensitive Skin
I don't usually write reviews for products, but this one definitely deserves some love! I have acne prone, sensitive skin. It reacts to certain formulas very badly, so I am always concerned about trying new products. Blemish Age Defense has greatly helped me. Additionally it targets another concern of mine: preventing signs of aging. I have lived in tropical and dry areas and using this product has prevented my skin from becoming oily or dry due to climate. Recommend trying if you have similar issues, like adult acne, and also don't want to give up your anti-aging regimen.

Really good but really strong
This stuff is really strong. Don't combine with other salicylic acid products. It works wonders! A lot of my adult acne has dissapeared and the dark spots on my face have diminished as well. Another great product with SkinCeuticals!

Worked for awhile then stopped
Well..Acne is stubborn. I initially tried this with the cleanser and toner and it cleared my skin from acne right away! It worked for about 6 weeks then my acne started coming back again and thereafter I didn't notice any change to my acne when I applied it. Anyway, I would recommend trying it if you are struggling with acne because you never know what your skin will do well with until you try.

Good for extreme sensitive skin
Bought this previously and this is 2nd purchase but with the kit for adult acne. I'm not only use this for normal acne, I have sensitive skin and sometimes my cat has dander and that will caused me some breakout and itchiness, I'll immediately applied this and within 2-3 days those "pops" will be gone

Safe on my dry, sensitive skin
I love this product. I am brand new to using actives in skin care and I will be totally honest, I did it totally wrong at first. I was using this and lactic acid all at once, but even then I didn't have a bad reaction. Now that I know what to do a bit more, I am really seeing the results. Firstly, any acne product that doesn't aggravate my dry and sensitive skin is a huge win for me. But not only does it not aggravate my skin, it actually works! I use this as an actual "serum" just on my nose, chin and forehead (only places I break out) no more than once per week. Throughout the week, if I have a breakout, I will take like half a drop on a qtip and use it as a spot treatment and I swear I wake up like the pimple was never even there! I am only 21, so I can't speak to the age defense aspect, but I can say it does reduce my sebum exponentially, and helps any zit I get!

Great Product
I recently started using the blemish and age defense serum along with the LHA cleanser and toner. I have acne prone skin that is also pretty sensitive. If you have sensitive skin, I recommend incorporating this product into your routine slowly. In the beginning, I experienced a very mild burning feeling and slight irritation & redness after use but started with using it once every 2 days at night. Now I use once a day at night, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all now that I am used to the product. I love the way you can also feel this product sink into your pores. I have seen great results after 2-3 months of use and would definitely buy again.
