SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface

I bought this to help ward off acne and lighten some spots from old breakouts. So far it seems to be doing its job . Been using about a month and have not had a breakout. Also seems to absorb fast. Not sure if I have noticed any lightening yet but that takes time

Great Spot Treatment
I decided to try this product because, although I use Retin-A at night, I still needed something to get rid of my blackheads. The fact that this serum contains a combination of both alpha and beta hydroxy acids, as well as dioic acid made it sound like a winner to me! I alternate nights, using Retin-A on one night then SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense on the next night. I do layer a moisturizer over this serum because it does contain a lot of alcohol and dries my skin out (and I have very oily skin). The day after I use the Blemish and Age Defense, my skin is a little flaky, but nothing some moisturizer can't fix. I also feel like, with time, the flakiness will diminish. Overall, I do notice a definite reduction in the amount of blackheads my skin has, especially on my nose. The other thing I noticed about this product is that it is GREAT as a spot treatment for blemishes. If I get a blemish and put this on a few times a day, the blemish pretty much disappears overnight. All of this anti-acne goodness plus wrinkle fighting power makes this product a definite win for me!

Gret Product for Acne and Pigmentation!
I got this as part of the Acne kit, and it has really made a difference. Its lightweight and goes on super easy, without an unpleasant scent. When you first start using it, it can make you flake for a few days, but my skin adjusted within a week. I struggle with hormonal acne off and on, and this stuff really dries out any new bumps really fast. Since I started using it I have seen an overall decrease in the frequency and severity of breakouts. I am giving it a 4/5 due to price, and it also seems to me that it works best as part of the acne kit, as opposed to just by itself. Definitely recommend though!

I have been using this for about 2 weeks and I am noticing smaller pores and less shine mid-day. I really like it so far, not over-drying at all. Only critique would be that I have read it is less sanitary to use a dropper bottle versus a pump.

Worth the money
I've suffered with acne since my teens and into my late 20's, and this, in combination with the acne face wash and toner, are the only products that have ever worked! Hormonal acne is under control!
I tend to get pimples on my chin, especially around that time of the month. Pimples were embarrassing, and I would get the really big pimples that you get when you are a teenager, so I kind of looked like a witch. My sister recommended this and it really helps! My pimples have gone down in size and quantity. I've only been using for a couple of weeks, but I just have to use a tiny dab of concealer to cover the pimples that are going away. Unlike before when I had to use 3 or 4 layers of makeup! This is great stuff!!
