SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.

- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin's surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

This is very strong stuff
This stuff definitely works in controlling occasional breakouts. I would recommend using moisturizer before applying this to your face because it can cause skin to become extremely dry. I notice when I use moisturizer with it that helped with the dryness. Overall though a really good product to use. Depending on your skin you can use it once or twice or as often as needed. It's best to use at night so your skin can really absorb it without being interrupted by air and pollution.

I am currently undecided. I read all of the rave reviews and had very high hopes that this might be the answer to my adult acne. It definitely has not "cured" my skin, but I do feel that it is working. The number of blemishes are definitely reduced and I actually notice some of the old marks/scars starting to fade. It does not burn at all and works very well under moisturizer (no flaking or pilling). Definitely not a miracle, but probably worth purchasing if you've tried everything else. I will note though that I purchased it during a very trying time for my skin so I was probably asking for a little much from this product!

I bought this product because I'm desperate for a cure to my adult acne problem and this was highly recommended. I've been using it for 3 weeks and I've noticed my skin getting tighter. The Age Defense part works. The adult acne part I'm not sure yet. I had a terrible outbreak after a week but I didn't stop using it. I figured it was an initial reaction. Now I can see the outbreak going away and the acne slowly drying up. I still have a few new ones here and there so I'm still in a wait and see mode. But I will definitely continue using and see where it takes me.
