I held off on purchasing the C E Ferulic from Skinceuticals for a long time because of the price and cycled through other brands (and copies) which were mildly effective at best or just didn't work. A co-worker of mine with amazing skin told me he used this serum and I knew I had to give it a try. It does take a couple weeks for the effects to be noticeable, but my skin looks so smooth and gives off a slight glow because I can tell a lot of the sun/external/age damage has faded or gone. My skin tone looks a lot more even and whereas previously a dark spot from a pimple would stay on my face for a year or longer, this fades spots in weeks or months depending on the severity. Even with pimples that formed, but went away would leave a red spot on my face that would slowly turn darker - this prevents that from even setting in. The price IS steep, but the effectiveness and the difference it has made is worth it. One bottle will last me 7-8 months and I usually use 3 drops daily which is more than enough for my face. I honestly don't even notice the scent.

This serum gets a lot of hype- and while I won't buy it again, I don't really have anything negative to say about it. I just wasn't blown away, especially for the price. This very well could be because I only purchased it once. I used it consistently and it lasted a while, but I would be curious to see if I saw results if I continued to buy it. My instinct was to rate 3 starts, but really, I know it's a super high quality and medical grade product, I just can't justify buying it again for myself. Based on the reviews here and many friends who worship it, I'm sure there are great results for most people. Maybe I didn't give it long enough.

I am already on my 2nd bottle of this incredible serum. I have noticed a brighter and more even skin tone using this product. I am 30 years old and my skin is just as good as when I was in my early 20s, if not better. In fact, I loved this product so much, I bought one for my mom and she has fallen in love with this product. She is now on her 2nd bottle. It is a must-have for her as well! She is in her 50s and said that she thought her skin would never recover from the sun damage and to see the results she has seen is nothing short of a miracle serum. It is a pricey item, but it really works! The way I see it is that you can spend a little more now, and save yourself from a lot of cosmetic fix-ups in the future. It's an investment in your beauty and skin-care routine. I will forever be using this product! The only con is the smell, but it really isn't horrible. I've used Shiseido products and Dermalogica products and am accustomed to a nice scent. The smell doesn't linger and honestly, the results of this product are incredible. Step above the rest
I've tried a whole assortment of Vit C/Ferulic Acid/Vit E products ranging in price from super cheap to as-expensive-as this one. This one has been the most effective. Yes, it has the "hot dog water" smell, but all others that I have tried do, as well. I have seen no signs of oxidation after a month+ of using, which is in direct contrast to other expensive brands I have tried that have oxidized very quickly. So far, Skinceutical's version has been worth the money!
