I wanted this to be the one
My only complaint about this product is that it didn't work for me. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin or cause any trouble. I may be an exception because everyone seems to love it. The price is crazy expensive for me, but I'd be willing to overlook that if it did something somewhat-magical. It did not. Big bummer.

though it definitely does have a bit of a smell everyone has been talking about....I definitely think it is the best vitamin c serum out there and lives up to the hype. I used to use the Drunk Elephant C Firma before this and I can definitely see quick improvements in my skin since switching. This upgrade has made me feel like I am on a whole new mature and knowledgable level of skincare. It also absorbs very well and does not have the same stickiness as the Drunk Elephant. I have a lot of freckles and this has helped them fade and had kept my skin taut.

Prefer this serum
I tried the PF serum before this one and highly prefer this one. My skin never got irritated and seems to be working. I have been using this for almost a year now and have noticed an overall smoothing of my skin. I have very noticeable smile lines that have gotten worse as I've aged. This product, along with a few other skinceuticals products, have seemed to lessen the appearance of these lines. I still have the same bottle, so the product lasts for a while, which is great, as it is on the expensive side. I recommend to add to your nightly skin routine. Product design is also great as there will be little to no waste.

It is pricey, but after I used a sample bottle of it, there is just no denying that this product works. It also has a bit of a smell to it, but that's because there is no added fragrance and it's just pure antioxidants in the product.

I'm almost done with the first bottle (it's been almost 6 months). The first day I used it someone commented on my skin looking good. I think it was a fluke. I think overall my skin has improved but I have been using this in combination with tretinoin and a prescription hydroquinone cream so it's hard to tell accurately if this is magic or not. That being said, I ordered a 2nd bottle because it makes my skin feel better. Of note: I'm 40, with significant hormonal acne, sensitive combination skin and also starting to get fine lines and wrinkles (best of all worlds!). The other topicals have been drying my skin out quite a bit as well.

The first time I used this product I saw a brightening effect. It is hydrating without overbearing my oily nose and chin area, leaving me with a smooth texture. I started with the Phloretin CF, which I loved, but I did not love the price point. I tried Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Vitamin C Power Serum and Cosrx Triple C Lightning Liquid, both pales in comparison to Skinceuticals Vitamin C serums.
