I am always on the mission to find the most effective product for whatever issue I am trying to deal with. I have acne prone skin-always have since puberty even still at 36- as well as the beginning of fine lines, wrinkles, loss of plumpness/tone, and undereye dark circles. As expensive as this product is, I have to admit that I have seen an improvement in my skin. It looks dewy and clear. Not sure about what it does for acne. I am using the SkinCeuticals anti acne treatment as well. So far so good! I am very happy to get off benzyol peroxide. There is a raw hot dog type scent to the serum, but it does not smell on your face. I have researched these products and although most of the ingredients come off initially as "questionable" because they are diffiucult to pronounce (that was my previous motto for skin/hair care-if you cant pronounce it then don't use it) when they are looked up on EWG site, they really are not toxic. I am at the age now where I am willing to use a synthetic, yet effective product. I have to admit that I have been looking for less expensive dupes of this product, and although I find some that claim they contain similar ingredients, they don't contain them all and in the same quantity and strength. All of the raving reviews are there for a reason. You get what you pay for most of the time. I will be repurchasing this high quality product.

Not going to lie, it stinks
It smells pretty bad - however the smell only lingers for a moment, and you are left with soft skin. I use it at night before my moisturizer, and it seems to be making a small difference in the smoothness the next morning.

I've been using this product for about 2 weeks now. I had previously used Clinique Fresh Pressed Vitamin C for about 4 months but wanted to try something different. It stings slightly when I first put it on, but this is fleeting and goes away quickly. It feels nice on my skin. I don't mind the scent, although I can see how others are sensitive to it. It's a bit difficult for me to put on- when I put the product in my palm first and then spread on my face, it seems as if the product gets absorbed into my hands but if I use the dropper right onto my face it drips all over... I don't necessarily see any changes yet, but it has only been 2 weeks. I have to say, when I used the Clinique Vitamin C product, I saw brightening and evenness of my skin right away. Looking forward to seeing new and improved changes in my skin!

For context- I have always had super dry skin, hardly any acne as a teen, etc. Not the surface dryness of flaky or chapped skin, but just a dry, dehydrated skin overall. Now getting peri menopausal increased dryness and thinning of skin. I have been using CE Ferulic on face and neck in the morning for 2 months, followed by a mineral oil or shea butter moisturizer (not Skinceuticals) followed by the most hydrating Skinceuticals sunscreen (Ultimate UV Defense). My face has smoothed out (forehead wrinkles and others lessened) and sun damage is better (dark spots lightnened). I have also been using Resveratrol at night, so that is probably helping too. Also just discovered the miracle product of HA Intensifier for my eye region both day and night before another oil-based eye cream.
