Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Just ok
While it seems to be a good product based on ingredients, I am not sure if it did anything for my melasma spots. I do see some skin brightening after using a bottle but nothing to lighten Sun damage spots. I think HQ is the only thing that truly works but is not good for u. I will not buy this again

Breakout inducer
I’ve been using this for 2 weeks, so I can’t comment on the effect of lightening my hyperpigmentations, which I haven’t seen any. Of course, I understand it takes time for any topical solution to work. I do want to comment on how much it makes me have breakouts! I don’t have sensitive skin, so I am surprised to see all the breakouts since I started using the product. It just makes me wonder if I even should keep using it for the potential that it might help me or just give up so that I don’t damage my skin more. Very disappointed considering how expensive this is!

Waste of money

Waste of Money - No Difference Whatsoever
My dermatologist recommended this product for me, advising me to put it on after my Retin-A at night. This was supposed to help lighten dark spots that have appeared on my face over the years (I'm in my mid 50s). She didn't know why it should work, but had heard anecdotally that it should. I followed her instructions and used it for months. No difference whatsoever. No improvement. Just a ton of wasted money. Would not recommend.
