Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Like it so far
This is my first time using skinceuticals product. I have lite brown spot on my face and I have been trying to find a product just to treat the spot. So, far it seems like it is working, it has definitely helped with brightening my complexion but to see the result I have to use for longer term. Finger crossed!

I purchased this product about three weeks ago and use it twice a day every day. I haven't seen much change ( I know it's only been three weeks) so I'm giving it 3 stars until 12 weeks hits! The serum is light and I have no problem layering it with my HA, lotion and sun screen.

Good but be careful
So I just started using this so I can't speak to long term effectiveness. It does brightened but be really careful. I used this all over my face and it totally broke my face out in a rash. Maybe a better spot treatment but all the same very strong.

Young Age Spots
I'm younger and got this product for Christmas. My family knows I love skinceuticals anything. I love this products textures. Not to thick so I feel like it can spread easily on your face. I don't have that many ages spot but the one I do have that's bigger is still there. But the edges are a little lighter and more broken up. But it's still pretty much there. I would say it's more better for slight sun damage and evening out your complexion.

No improvement in dark spots
I tan easily and unfortunately also am susceptible to hyperpigmentation. I purchased this when it was first released and use it all over my face, and haven't noticed any improvement in my dark spots or freckles. I think it makes my skin feel clearer and smoother in general, but no targeted improvement in spots. Thankfully, it's unscented and absorbs quickly so you can layer this with other skincare products. This is pricey for what it is, and there are other brightening serums I like better, so I can't recommend this.

I think it's working
I have had freckles all my life and that trait has turned in to brown spots now as I age (36). I have been using this product AM and PM pretty religiously for about 5 months now. I have noticed a lot of brightening and evening of my skin tone. I was hoping this serum would do more for the large dark brown spots in a quicker period of time. Still, I believe it is defending against more popping up like it promises!

Seeing some results!
