Neutralizing moisture base
My skin is very sensitive and oily, and this gel helps to balance it. I apply this clear moisture serum after toner. It has more of a thick liquid than a gel consistency, so it's easy to spread. I use a couple drops for each application with the dropper that's attached to the cap. I love the dropper because it's sanitary, convenient, and easy to control the amount. Usually, my face feels stretched in the sensitive areas around my mouth and nose and I would need to apply another layer of moisturizer, which gets heavy. But when I use the B5 Gel before moisturizer, it really helps to neutralize my skin and keep it from getting too oily right away. I know it seems illogical to apply this to oily skin, but since I'm giving my face complete moisture in the morning, it refrains from feeling dry and overproducing oil throughout the day. The Skinceuticals B5 has really improved my overall skin comfort and texture. (Also as another tip to fellow sensitive/oily skin types that can only use clear moisturizers -I switch back and forth with the following two moisturizers as the next step after B5: Bioelements Complete Hydration, and Eminence Organics Stone Crop Gel.)

This is my favorite moisturizer ever
I'm not a fan of anything that's even slightly oily or creamy and not a fan of anything that leaves my skin shiny. This gel is more of a liquid than a gel. It seems expensive but you only need a few drops so it will last for months. It is quickly absorbed and is very hydrating--probably better than anything I've ever used.
