SkinCeuticals' Phloretin CF provides powerful antioxidant protection to normal, oily and combination skin types. Designed for daytime use, this antioxidant serum neutralizes free radicals to prevent signs of accelerated skin aging. The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and uneven skin tone. Phloretin neutralizes damaging free radicals, improves cell turnover and lightens signs of discoloration. L-ascorbic acid protects your skin from oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits, while ferulic acid enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamin C.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Phloretin: derived from apples and the root bark of fruit trees including apple, pear, and grapefruit, this antioxidant neutralizes damaging free radicals, helps improve cell turnover, and improves the appearance of discoloration.
- 10% Pure vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid): lauded for its superior antioxidant benefits, this highly potent form of pure vitamin C neutralizes damaging free radicals and protects against oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits.
- 0.5% Ferulic acid: a plant-based antioxidant, ferulic acid neutralizes free radicals and enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamins C and E.

Eased into daily use
This was recommended by a physician years ago but I was not consistent with its use until the last 6 months. I have combination skin that has always been prone to breakouts and it has become more fragile as I age. Initially, I found that using it every morning was a bit much. The skin high on my cheeks, near my eyes was irritated. So, I backed off and eased into it gradually. I am now applying it five days a week (weekends off) followed by a moisturizer with no irritation. I do use other products at night but I feel like this has contributed to my skin looking bright and healthy. Using it consistently has really made a difference!

The absolute best vitamin C serum for acne/post hyperpigmentation
This vitamin C serum is the real deal. It does not smell great, but I would much rather have a product that smells like this than an ineffective one with perfume. Been using this serum for 3 months under sunscreen and I've seen a significant decrease in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and even new acne. This serum is 100% worth the money!

Great for Oily Skin
With acne prone oily skin, sometimes it is hard to find a serum that doesn't feel too heavy or cause breakouts. I have been using this for about a year now and I have to say, it absorbs into the skin well and will not leave you feeling greasy. Definitely on the expensive side, but I do think it's worth it.

I would repurchase this product
I really like this product. I've used it every morning for about 4-6 weeks until I ran out and purchased the Age+Blemish serum. I believe this product contributed to my skin clearing up significantly and worked very well for my face and overall appearance. One down side I did notice was that after using a few drops of this with my moisturizer over and later my tinted moisturizer, my make up would run down my face by the middle of my work day. Perhaps my tinted moisturizer (Elta MD, spf 44) did not pair well with this serum, but as far as skin, my face was glowing. I would repurchase this item. I am currently waiting for a promotion/ discount code from the Dermstore.
