SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex .25 is formulated to renew the skin's tone and texture without irritating the skin. Retinol helps combat the signs of premature aging while magnolia bark extract soothes inflammation. Ideal for use twice a week to build tolerance to formula.

Apply in the evening after cleansing and toning and before applying your moisturizer. If a retinol product has never been used before, begin twice a week 2-3 days apart, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Apply to the entire face. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant. Mild redness, peeling and irritation are expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 30 or higher and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week following discontinuation.

Glowing skin
I ordered this and my skin has been glowing and smooth since I started using it. I had previously used another brand’s .3 retinol but this is far superior in my opinion. It doesn’t seem to cause irritation for my super sensitive reactive skin and the irritation/acne I had been dealing with seemed to have calmed down. I use this every other night.

My first retinol working it's magic!
This is my first time using a retinol - I'm currently on my second week of using the product. To get started, I'm using it every three days. I'm 25 and my skin is on the dry/dehydrated side with a little bit of redness of my cheeks and a little hormonal acne on my chin. I was so worried that a retinol would overly irritate and dry out my skin, but this one doesn't! I have to say I'm extremely impressed. I'm experiencing minor redness and flaking as I'm adjusting, but it's really not a huge deal. Best of all... I'm already seeing results! The hormonal acne on my chin is clearing up and the texture of my entire face is very smooth. Highly recommend for a first time retinol user who is nervous about joining the vitamin A gang!! Overall: Fast results with minimal irritation. Can't wait to see the long-term results.

Really enjoying using this retinol. I worked up to being able to use this daily without any irritation. I might actually stay with this percentage as I’m able to tolerate it on a more consistent basis. Though it’s not as strong as a 1%, I genuinely see this product working.
