SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex 0.5 enhances the skin's texture to promote a brighter, more youthful complexion. Formulated for skin tolerant to retinol treatments, it stimulates collagen production and enhances faster cell renewal to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Algae extract ensures skin is soft, hydrated and protected against free-radical damage.

Apply a single pump to face in the evening. If you have never used a retinol product before, begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Mild redness, peeling and irritation is expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 20 or higher during use of this product. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
CAUTION: Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant.

Love this retinol!!!
I love this product! Ive been using it for about 3 yrs now and its made my skin look amazing. Im 38 and people now always say I look young for my age. They think Im in my mid or late 20s. Obviously i use other products like vitamin c, good moisturizer and spf, but i give most of the credit to this retinol because it truly helps with not only fine lines but with my skin texture. My texture is much smoother and my skin has never been so soft and naturally glowy. Part of the reason i bought this retinol in the first place is because i read the ingredient list and it has a lot of really great additional ingredients besides the retinol. I do want to warn that if youre not retinol tolerant you should start with the .25 strength. Thats what i had to do in the beginning to acclimate to it. Its potent stuff if youre not used to using retinol! Anyway I highly recommend this product. Ill continue to buy from this brand and after i use up this bottle Im going to try the 1.0 strength. I should be able to tolerate it because I can use the .5 every night now with no flaking or redness. Btw i have fairly normal fair skin that is slightly on the dry and sensitive side.

Really enjoying this retinol. I've also used .5 from skinceuticals and currently trying to figure out which one I will repurchase. My skin is used to retinols, but I was still pleased to see no reaction or purging since transitioning to this product. I am noticing this one feels more gentle than the skinceuticals - have not noticed a burning sensation.
