SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex 1.0 enhances the skin's appearance to promote a smoother, rejuvenated complexion. Formulated for skin types pre-conditioned to retinol treatments, it minimizes the appearance of age spots and wrinkles. It also improves elasticity and works effectively to visibly reduce acne scars. With continued use, faster cell renewal is encouraged.

Apply a single pump to face in the evening. If you have never used a retinol product before, begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Mild redness, peeling and irritation is expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 20 or higher during use of this product. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.

I recently bought the SkinMedica 1.0 Retinol Complex as I thought I was ready to up my dosage after using the PCA .25 retinol. SkinMedica's retinol is potent and effective. I use this every other night on my face and neck. As all retinol products tend to irritate and dry out skin, I had to work my way up to be able to apply this product every other night. It was totally worth dealing with the dry, peeling skin to build up tolerance. I've been using for close to two months and have already noticed results. I will continue to buy this retinol since it's effective and at a lower price point than others offered through Dermstore.

I have used retinol before, but it's been a while. The instructions say to first use a couple times a week, not everyday at first. I thought I could handle it, but I was wrong. It's very powerful, so I scaled it back. Have been using it as part of my treatment after getting a Halo laser facial.

I had been using a 1% product from my dermatologist and when it ran out I just thought I would try Skinmedica's product rather than make a special trip to the dermatologist. It actually works better than than the prescription product at 2/3 the price! Really love it - use sparingly, though, and moisturize well. The dermal moisturizer from Skinmedica keeps my face from drying out while using the retinol. Great products!

I really like this formula. The retinol you're get with a prescription can be very drying. You can to mix lotion to it. This stuff is pre-mixed. I think it's a very good product. I love it. It's totally expensive. If it were in the 50s-60s price range I'd buy it again
