Formulated for skin types pre-conditioned to retinol treatments, it minimizes the appearance of age spots and wrinkles. It also improves elasticity and works effectively to visibly reduce acne scars. Apply a single pump to face in the evening. If you have never used a retinol product before, begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Mild redness, peeling and irritation is expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 20 or higher during use of this product. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.

Effectiveness of Retinol 1.0
It does cause peeling which is what you want from this product. I alternate between 1.0 and o.5 if my skin becomes excessively dry or peels excessively. This product helps with skin regeneration and reduces wrinkles. Highly recommended. If your skin is sensitive 0.5 % would be the concentration to start with

This is a standout product. With nightly usage on my fine lines, I notice a difference within a few days. The only retinol cream that works!
I say that this is the only product that works because it contains the highest percentage of retinol allowed to be sold without a prescription. Retinol works on fine lines and wrinkles and will reverse most of these issues in time. I am 66 years old and have seen the results. Don't be fooled by drug store moisturizers and department store serums. They have very small amts of retinol and they charge you 25 to 100 plus dollars. Dermstore is authorized by Skin Medica ( I called them) to sell this product so you can trust that the product is legit. One suggestion: begin with the o.5% retinol first so that your skin can get acclimated to the product.

Very Strong!
I have been using retinol serums for years, but have never used one with as much strength as this. The first time, I had serious redness and peeling a couple of days later. Now, I use one pump of the Retinol, but dilute it with another serum. The results are fantastic - my skin has really cleared up, and it looks great!
