Beware Sweet Orange

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was excited to try this as it has tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, which allegedly has an easier time of penetrating skin due to oil solubility. The price seemed fair for what it offers. I didn't even notice the inclusion of the sweet orange oil until after getting the bottle home. Sweet orange oil is a well known skin irritant and has absolutely no business in a skin care product, and I was pretty horrified that a "designer" company like Sunday Riley would include it. Sure enough, I gave it a try and it pretty immediately caused my face to become red, splotchy and itchy. I have combination skin that can be a bit sensitive and dry during winters, but otherwise tends not to be exceptionally reactive. Back to my search for a C serum!

Noticeable difference

After using this product for a solid week, I noticed my skin looked brighter and my spots were less noticeable. This product did not irritate my skin and it smells amazing!

Expensive but Luxurious

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

A bit pricey considering the other options, but I love all things Sunday Riley. This formula is my weekend go to. It's a bit thick and makes my skin feel a little sticky, so I don't use it every day. But when I do, my skin feels brighter and my redness improves.

Wonderful Serum

Love the smell, a bit pricey.. need to try longer to see if it works. The texture is really nice and absorbant, will be using it night and day

It's a Decent Serum

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have problems with acne/scarring, and I did not personally see a difference, especially compared to other similarly priced serums I've used. This might be the perfect serum for someone without any big skin issues who just wants to maintain and prevent.

Hydrating with fresh scent

Works fantastic as a moisturizer and smells great. Likely won't repurchase due to the price, but overall a good product.

CEO vit C serum

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love Sunday Riley, but this vitamin C serum just didn't work for me. I saw no difference in my hyperpigmentation at all after consistently using a whole bottle. I'm a pretty seasoned vitamin C user, so perhaps the 15% in this serum just wasn't high enough. On the plus side, it smells great, the texture is nice and it does give an instant 'glow'. But my main reason for using this was to keep hyperpigmentation at bay, so unfortunately won't be repurchasing.

Pretty good, not sure of results

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

It's a little sticky after applied, but soaks in well and smells great. I tried a sample of this and didn't see any change in my skin or evening out of my freckles. Might need to use it more than the couple weeks that I did.

Cant see the difference

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love Sunday Riley products but this one doesn't do it for me. I love the scent -- citrus but not too overbearing. I put this on once per night where my hyper-pigmentation is and haven noticed it changing. Kind of a bummer though I love her other stuff! It's also VERY sticky and can pill if you don't wait long enough to apply something over it
