Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream feeds thirsty skin with intense nourishment and hydration. The ultra rich face and body cream combats stubborn dryness that can occur on your face, hands, feet and elbows. Essential fatty acids along with vitamin E moisturize and soften while organic pansy calms irritation due to dry skin. Organic calendula flower extract gently cares for your skin, aiding repair and restoration.
Apply a small amount of Skin Food to dry or rough skin as needed and massage into the skin until the cream is absorbed. To deeply nourish hard-working, dry hands liberally apply the cream on the hands, cover with cotton gloves and leave on overnight.

More like a balm
I was thinking this was like gel cream, a little lighter and good as hand cream. It's quite thick and oily, more like a balm. Might be a little too much on my hands for the day use, but I like it as an overnight cream that I put on at night.

So let me lay it out for you
If I was ever stranded on a remote island, my only fear would be that I didn't put on my Weleda skin cream that day. But given that I will never forget the love of my life, that will never happen. So needles to say, if I was stranded on an island, I would kick up my feet and relax on the sand knowing that I would be stranded for a maximum 3 hours since my face would radiate for a 20 mile radius, undoubtedly attracting the attention of a near by ship. This skin cream will save your life. For 20 bucks I would say that its worth it.

Better than expected
This is a great balm for sensitive skin. I mostly use it as a hand balm if my hands are dry and chapped in the winter. But I've used it on my face and it hasn't caused any sensitivity. It has a very waxy texture, and I think using this product as a face cream wouldn't over in the long run. It's good for occasional use or dry patches. VERY STRONG lemony floral smell, though. I can barely sleep if I apply this to my face. This is not for people who are sensitive to fragrance. I've tried the Skin Food Light and had an allergic reaction to it, by the way. They are very different products.
