This product is great! It has helped my acne post inflamatory dark spots to heal faster!

Smells like ham

1

I don't know if I received a bad batch of this product, but "fragrance free" in this case means "smells like ham." I tried using it anyway (despite my initial reservations) hoping the smell would fade after the product dried. Well, it does a bit, but you can smell it again at the end of the day when you wash it off. Truly off-putting. I'm returning it after a few days.

Addresses Hyperpigmentation

5

This is my first Vitamin C product, so with that as a caveat, I am very happy with the results I have seen. I have been using this product for 3 months, but I saw results within a couple weeks. I decided on the C15 Booster because of its reasonable price point and similar ingredients compared to the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic (also after reading reviews from people I trust comparing the two). I didn't notice a difference in brightness or smoothness, but I wasn't looking for that, since I think the AHAs and retinoids in my routine address that. I also don't need firming at this point in my skin health. The main concern I was looking to address was hyperpigmentation, and I saw significant lightening of dark spots within two weeks. I have sensitive skin and didn't experience any adverse reactions. My skin is combo-oily and this is a very thin serum, which is very easy to disperse and doesn't add any tackiness or oiliness to the skin. Since I am now in my 30s, I am also concerned about environmental protection, anti-aging and antioxidant properties that Vitamin C products can offer. These are things that I can't visibly measure, but that I must trust are doing their job. I store this product in the refrigerator to prevent oxidation since L-ascorbic acid becomes unstable once introduced to a water solution (@goalstogetglowing has a post on Instagram that showed how this extended the life of her C15), and have not experienced any oxidation. I use this daily in my morning routine, and it has been very easy to incorporate, and something that I have seen significant results from. The price point is very reasonable compared to alternative products on the market. I would not hesitate to recommend to any skin types with similar concerns.

Excellent Protection

5

The Paula's Choice Resist C15 Super Booster is an excellent product for the price point. The formula is easy to use, non irritating and mimics the effects of brands that charge significantly more for their vitamin C formulas. My skin looks smoth and bright and fine lines appear much less noticeable.

Works until it turns orange

3

This is a good product for as long as the serum stays stable. For me it seems to go bad and orange within one month. I also don't think .67 oz is much product for the price and the problems. I have found better more stable and less expensive vitamin c serums.

Wonderful so far

I started using the serum about a month ago. I can definitely say my skin is much brighter now. I can't wait to see more results are the recommended three months of usage.

Great Vitamin C option

5

I've been struggling with an outbreak that was recently diagnosed as Perioral Dermatitis. I've had to scale back on what products I'm using in order to limit irritation, but this product is one that I've not only been able to continue using but has significantly improved my skin. I use it twice a day and my skins is noticeably brighter as a result.

Not worth it!

2

I need to start off by saying that Vitamin C serums at the 15% and under percent as a rule have not worked for me (no brightening effect, no evening of skin tone, oxidizing extremely quick before date of expiration). The product has a slight almost hot dog water smell which many could find unappealing (my boyfriend detests the smell of this product). However, I could care less about this...if it worked it could smell however it wants. Sadly I did not see any difference in my skin at all. The packaging of this product is not ideal as it is not air tight like the Drunk Elephant Vit C. I found my product oxidized very quickly leaving me with at the very least 50% of the bottle full (and I keep it stored in a completely dark/cool place). This product does work for others but for me it just did nothing.

Finally found "the one"

5

i've tried many vitamin c serums in the quest for the perfect balance of efficacy and price point. some were irritating, others did nothing, and the skinceuticals price point is a joke (DIY guides shows you how it costs several dollars...i can afford it, but why throw away money needlessly). since i'm busy, i don't have the time to make it myself...but i still wanted a product that works, doesn't irritate, and isn't at a ripoff price point. this is the one. also, as with any OTC product, don't expect instant results; but i have applied this in the same fashion as with all the other serums i've tried, and i can say that my hyperpigmentation spots have faded. while i can't attribute the fading of spots SOLELY to this serum, as i believe melanin management also involves religious skin protection (i wear a full face UV rated visor whenever i am outdoors, in addition to 50+ 20% zinc oxide sunblock) and healthy diet, i can say that after a month of using this serum, the spots hvae faded more noticeably.

Happily Surprised!

5

There are so many "C" products out there, many of which are costly. This one delivers, at a reasonable cost. I have been using it for about 2 weeks and am very happy with the results so far. My skin appears to be brighter. It's a keeper and I will be reordering.
