PCA Skin Apres Peel Hydrating Balm features an advanced formula designed to restore moisture while fighting the visible signs of aging. Phytohormones, soy isoflavones and chasteberry extract rebuild collagen for skin that feels softer, younger and more resilient. I love this moisturizer. I am an older gal with mature dry skin. I’m on my 5th jar. It has a slight fragrance that even with my sensitive skin does not irritate. I use quite a bit of other products before my moisturizer and let everything soak into my skin. This moisturizer is very hydrating and works with sunscreen and makeup.

I really like the scent of this product but I can see how it would not be to everyones taste since its very botanical like. My skin found the texture a bit odd; it was almost gel like with a more gelatin like feel. I found that my skin would absorb it well but I didn't feel like it was as moisturizing as I would expect it to be. I did find that it pilled the more I applied it and massaged it into my skin.

I use this only at night after Retinol. It is the most moisturizing and healing product that I have found. I am almost sixty years but when I wake up in the morning my skin is refreshed. I have been it using it for about five years and never let myself run out. I highly recommend for older women with dry skin. It's worth the money.

Prefer other PCA moisturizers over this...
First, I can say I do LOVE the scent of this hydrating balm. It's very pleasant smelling. It doesn't last, but if it did it may be too much. As for it's actual application it's less lotion like and more gel like. It's cool when applied. I have noticed that throughout the day if I happen to wipe my face it feels gritty of sorts and beads up (think after you take a band aid off) and leaves a slight residue. I haven't been wearing much makeup lately, but I do not think it would be great as a base layer. I'll be headed back to Silk Coat Balm and the Collagen Hydrator.
