I love this brand but this product had a weird smell and tended to make my hair greasy and frizzy (I have thick, course, long hair).

My hair is thin and wavy. This product does a fantastic job turning the waves into curls without weighing it down. The smell is amazing. Love this product and continue to order it.

The product smelled okay, but it left a sticky film on the bathroom floor. It left my hair dry and frizzy looking-would not recommend it!

I am on my second purchase of this after receiving it a mystery beauty box a few months back. My hair is fine and curly but the curls have mind of their own. WIth Maui Wowie, my curls are much more tame. My curls have body and texture to them and look like I have spent a day at the beach. I like that I can use the product on my hair when wet or dry. The "beach effect" is more pronounced on my hair when it is dry. The attached photo shows my hair after using the product when wet then blowing dry. This has become a must have for me. I keep one at home and one in my travel bag so I am never without.

This is the best beach spray i've EVER used. i got mine in a mystery box and promptly threw it in a basket for a couple months. when the beach/salt spray fad first hit i tried a dozen or so and was pretty disgusted with the results, i usually blow-out/straighten my naturally curly hair and every spray i tried was a sticky, drying, frizz-inducing mess. some were better than others but none were worth the trouble. a couple weeks ago i was in a rush without time for my hair so it was all about the scrunch-clip routine, and i saw the Phillip B. bottle sitting there and thought what the heck. i spritz it in and first thing, this stuff smells uh-frickin-may-zing. next thing i get my hands in it and wow, no sticky - can't feel a thing, cool! after my hair dried a bit in the clip i pulled it down expecting a frizz fest, but it was super soft with perfect waves. i was blown away. so i'm deliberately lazy the rest of the week, loving the results. then it starts to rain, a lot. fiddlesticks. anyway, my favorite thing about this product apart from the smell, the weightless texture and the super cool micro-spray pump that i wish came on everything has got to be the conditioning benefit. it really does give my regular leave-in a run for it's money and makes me want to use it even when i blow out. i'm totally converted to beach sprays now.
