Brush dry hair and scalp throughly with a natural boar bristle brush. Taking once inch sections of dry, unwashed hair, apply oil liberally to the point of saturation (never apply oil to wet hair). Work oil in with your fingers, concentrating one inch from the scalp through the ends.

So so for oily scalps
Very difficult to wash off specially for my oily scalp. I did use the avocado shampoo and still found it difficult to wash off. I found it a hassle to use and wash off. I returned it.

Was just raving about this product to my hairstylist. LOVE IT! I choose to do this on a day that I know I'm going to be staying in, for example when I do my house chores. I massage it into my scalp and along my ends, brush my hair so it really spreads the product, tie my hair in a tight top knot bun, and leave it to do its magic for 7-8hrs. Then I wash it out with shampoo and warm water. Seriously love the way it makes my hair feel and look, so shiny and smooth. I bleach my hair blonde quite frequently so this has been a real lifesaver for my hair! 100% recommend.

This is the second best hair oil I have used, the first being one by John Masters. The scent of this one takes the cake though, sort of a spicy gardenia scent. This is olive oil based, so is heavier than the JM oil.
