I've been using this moisturizer for many years, with fantastic results. I have HIGHLY sensitive skin, very reactive- my skin is extremely dry, with rosacea and- for fun!- I will break out like clockwork at a stage during my cycle. I also have a histamine intolerance, so there's a whole lot of potential issues for my face. My skin absolutely drinks this product up, and it helps mellow out my rosacea area (mostly contained to my right cheek). My morning routine involves applying this, then adding sunscreen (I use Supergoop 50 spf), then apply any make-up. I use this again at night, and right after I shower, before I've even really dried off my face (again, I am BEYOND dry!) I will add that I can apply this directly around my eyes and on my eyelids without any burning or irritation; I've tried the actual eyecream Ren has and I get burning sensations with that one. IDK if this would be the right moisturizer if you have oily skin, since my problem is clearly the opposite. *I was reading the current reviews and slightly panicked that they'd maybe changed the formula. A bunch of recent reviewers mentioned a weird scent, but the Global Protection Day Cream is scentless. One reviewer mentioned lavender, which I am anaphylactic allergic to! I did some digging, and these reviewers seem to be intending to review REN Clean Skincare ClearCalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream- totally different product. To be fair, the bottles look similar- but that one has lavender and seems to have a scent with it. So PHEW nothing has changed with Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream!!!

It's very heavy and sits on the surface of my skin. Made me feel greasy and unclean- odd since I have dry thirsty skin. Ended up using it as a pre bed hand cream.

Wow, this stuff is scary! I’ve built up the courage to try it twice to ensure it wasn’t an interaction with other products. This stuff immediately burned my face! Turned my skin red and bumpy, I had to wash it off and rinse with cold water five times to get it to start calming down, and I don’t even have sensitive skin!  Looking at the ingredients I don’t understand how they market this as a calming product to help sensitive or irritated skin. It has cinnamon oil and orange peel oil, shea butter and a slew of other extracts and fragrance known to cause irritation. It’s unbelievable!  I really like a lot of ren products and have gotten a couple of sets with this product in them, so I know it’s not just a bad bottle or something. I wouldn’t recommend this product to anyone, but especially not someone with Rosacea or sensitive skin. Buyer be warned!

I received this product in my Fab Fit Fun box. First of all, The smell of it is terrible. Also I like my day moisturizers to have SPF in it. Didn't feel like it did any better than a drug store product. I'll probably use it up, but not a product I would repurchase.

I adore REN’s rescue balm and mask, so I had high expectations for this moisturizer. First impression: I am surprised that something that touts itself as “global protection” does not include sunscreen. Nice sized tube, pump dispenses a perfect amount.  Initial application: the lavender fragrance is pleasant, but very prevalent. I know lavender can be soothing, but it seems unnecessary in this product. The moisturizer is nice and creamy, thick without being greasy, and spreads well. A slight almost-burn when applied to my sensitive, two week post peel skin. Could be the orange oil irritating me? Not sure this is a hood ingredient for a sensitive skin friendly moisturizer…. One month of use takeaways: Still haven’t gotten used to the lavender smell, sometimes it seems a bit cloying in the mornings. This absorbs well and layers nicely under sunscreen (still miffed SPF isn’t included in this). My skin is nicely hydrated, but I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing this. It’s nothing special, and I feel there are many other adequate moisturizers out there that will perform similarly, without then inclusion of the  annoying lavender scent  or irritating orange oil. 

It’s an amazing moisturizer for the price.  My skin looks very hydrated and the makeup glides on perfectly.  I loved the way it  made my face feel. I received this in my Beautyfix. I’m going to purchase when I run out. 

Texture is good, not greasy, absorbs well. Irritated my face on initial use, especially under the eyes. I would suggest using a small amount first and NOT mixing or layering with other products until you know how it'll react with your skin

I actually prefer this moisturizer for nighttime. It hydrates really well, but I find it doesn't fully sink it, which doesn't work for me during the day. Has a light natural scent as well. 

This moisturizer feels nice and hydrating and not greasy, but actually due to the thicker texture I prefer this for nighttime use. It hasn't made me break out, but it doesn't have any spectacular anti aging ingredients either. I've recieved several travel sizes of this but most likely won't be repurchasing the full size.

This is my must have for daily routine! It has saved my texture and also reduced breakouts.
