Update!! I contacted Beachwaver and they're replacing my flat iron. First they tried to troubleshoot, which I appreciated, and then I had to show proof that the iron wasn't usable but cutting the cord and sending a pic. (I understand why they had to do this- so no one takes advantage.) I'm really impressed! I was charged a nominal fee but I never registered my flat iron for warranty and it was 13-14 months old. (The warranty is 1 year.) So I think this is fair. Despite the inconvenience of the day my flat iron died I'm very happy with Beachwaver customer service. I expected to be told that there was nothing they could do. Original review: I have loved this flat iron for about a year. It heats up fast and straightens my hair easily without frizz. But today it wouldn't heat up. It got warm to the touch but not hot. So on my way to work I had to stop by CVS to buy a quick replacement (a Conair) and do my hair in the bathroom at work before a meeting. The Conair isn't bad but the cord is shorter. I called Derm Store customer service who recommended I contact Beach Waver directly. Hopefully they will send a replacement. Derm Store was helpful and this is NOT a bad review of this company- just the Beach Waver product itself.

I ordered this March 2018 and sometime in Jan 2019, it stopped working. I was so mad. It stopped heating up. I'm going to look into getting a refund, don't know if I'll be able to get one.
