Since launching her namesake fashion brand in 2012, Danish designer Anine Bing has blended her European aesthetic with a hint of rock ’n’ roll to create effortless pieces with an elevated edge. Today, her lace camisole tops and leather jackets are considered wardrobe staples among Hollywood starlets, fashion editors and women around the globe. In addition to continually expanding her fashion empire, Anine recently collaborated with celebrity hair stylist Harry Josh on two limited-edition holiday sets. Each features a vegan leather bag created by the designer, plus Harry Josh® Pro Tools essentials for salon-quality hair (without the visit to the salon)—and they’re only available here at Dermstore.

For the latest installment of our More Than Skin Deep series, we caught up with Anine to get the scoop on her skin and hair must-haves—including the product that’s so good, she’s been using it for over 20 years.

The best (and worst) thing she’s done to her skin:

The best: I’ve always made it a priority to invest in quality skin care products, which has really paid off as I’ve gotten older. I also drink lots of water every day and make myself healthy smoothies with collagen. It’s a must.

The worst: I love sugar, sour candies and salty licorice and I’ve eaten WAY too much of it in the past. As most of us know, it’s not good for your skin, so I’ve been cutting down on my sugar intake lately…

The first skin care product she bought for herself (and continues to buy):

Weleda Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream. It’s such a great product. I’ve been using it for the past 20 years or so. It gives my skin such a natural healthy glow and I love [that it has] clean ingredients.

Her secrets to glowing skin:

I love treating myself to facials. I think it’s super important to clean out toxins and any dirt buildup so my skin stays glowing and fresh. Dr. Barbara Sturm and Shani Darden are two of my favorite facialists. Also, getting a good night's sleep is so important if you want glowy skin in the morning.

How she achieves her signature waves:

I like to use the Travel Curling Iron from Harry Josh® Pro Tools to curl the ends of my hair. After I’m done curling my hair, I add a little wave spray and I’m out the door.

The 5 beauty products she has in rotation:

1. Cleanser

The Atoderm Cleansing Oil from Bioderma is great for removing any stubborn makeup that’s left over. It also makes my skin feel fresh and polished afterwards.

2. Mask

So far I’ve loved everything that I’ve tried from 111Skin. I especially love the Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask because it leaves my skin looking healthier and plump!

3. Serum

Sunday Riley’s Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment is definitely one of my holy grail products. Lactic acid is an amazing ingredient that should be a part of everyone’s skin care routine!

4. Shampoo

Oribe is my absolute favorite hair care line. Their Gold Lust Repair and Restore Shampoo does wonders for my hair. I noticed that it makes my hair so soft and easy to style.

5. Body Care

Body oil has always been a part of my beauty routine. The Body Treatment Oil from GROWN ALCHEMIST is great for hydrating my skin, especially after traveling.

What her WFH setup looks like right now:

I typically work from my home office while my kids are on Zoom in their rooms. On days when I have really long calls, I enjoy taking walks in the neighborhood to get some fresh air and stretch my legs.

What she can’t get enough of these days:

Lately, I’ve been rewatching some of my favorite childhood movies with my kids, and we’re obsessed with the Karate Kid movies from the ’80s. It makes me want to start taking karate lessons!
