The charcoal and gel are difficult to mix together. You do have to use a significant amount to get a nice even layer on your face. It didn't pull up as much gunk as I hoped even though I was able to remove the mask in one piece.

I like charcoal masks for a clean skin feel and usually apply one about once a month after a hot shower. These masks help purify the skin. This one does not dry your skin out and leaves your skin feeling clean. Recommend!

This has a good weight and peels off easily. It does have a tightening effect from the peeling. It's not like other charcoal masks where you can see the oil from your pores getting sucked out into the clay. I'm not sure exactly what it's doing but it's fun to use.

This mask does wonders to my skin! It evens all red spots whether its acne or irritation and that is the only mask I know that does it so well! I would definitely buy it again. I took one star off because when my bottle was getting closer to the be empty I got white gel without a pigment. I tried to shake and squeeze the bottle so it mixed with charcoal but it barely worked.

I got a sample of this mask in one of the Best of Dermstore kits. It works fine, I don't have oily skin so it didn't seem to do anything miraculous to my skin. Fine product, but peel-off masks kind of freak me out. I think I will stick to sheet masks and wipe off.

This is messy and hard to remove. Also it feels very stripping so it gives you that false sense of clean but likely harsh for the skin.
