Avène is a French skin care brand that has a long history. The thermal waters of region that bears the same name welcomed people with various skin conditions such as dermatitis and eczema to bathe in its water as far back as the 18th century. Starting its journey high up in the Cevennes Mountains and moving through some of the oldest dolomite rocks, the water interacts and becomes infused with various minerals and flora, where it then emerges from the Sainte-Odile Spring.
