Reaction after use

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have been using the EltaMD UV Daily for a few years and loved it. I noticed this version is a best seller on dermstore so I thought I should switch over, but after one use I broke out on my forehead and cheeks.

The hype is real

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I avoided trying this product because of all the hype, it can't be as good as everyone said, right? Wrong. It's soo good. Never breaks me out, even though there are silicones, lasts on my skin, feels cooling and so lightweight, and never pills when combined on top of or under other products. Best sunscreen ever.

Derm recommended

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like the pump style over a squeeze bottle so first points there. The product doesn't feel greasy or heavy and works right in with my skin care routine. Elta and Dermstore.com were both recommended by my new dermatologist.

Favorite Sunscreen

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've tried so many different formulas, and this is my all time favorite sunscreen. I love the consistency and that it quickly absorbs into the skin like a moisturizer. I also think it helps with my skin texture.

Lightweight, but pills

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I'm an avid sunscreen user and tester, but I keep finding myself going back to Elta MD's UV Clear! Pros: -Does not cause congestion or breakouts -Lightweight and breathable on skin -Non-greasy, natural finish -Undetectable "sunscreen feeling" on face as time progresses -No white cast (fair with yellow undertones skin) -Easy to wash off with facial wash Cons: -Pills like crazy upon: reapplication, under mask, on top of non-silicone-based moisturizers. My partner saw my face after I took off my mask and thought I had crumbs all over my face! To overcome this, I wear a 3D face mask to minimize the mask contact with my face, which helps prevent pilling.

EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

After using many facial sunscreens I've finally found "The One" EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum 46 is what my sensitive skin needs in a sunscreen. The lightweight consistency of the product sinks in like magic leaves no residue and best of all does not irritate. This product makes it easy to follow the best skincare practices for sun protection just a few minutes for application and you're good to go. EltaMD UV Clear Broad Spectrum 46 also works well when used after makeup application.

Holy Grail

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love buying new products, but this is one I go back to over and over and never deviate from. It's just that good. It doesn't have that icky sunscreen feel or smell. Love love love.

Really good face sunscreen

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Feels nice and no cast. A little drying and some pilling if I'm not careful about what products I layer underneath. Overall really good solid face sunscreen.

It's okay but pricey

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

It's okay. If pilling occurs, use small amounts in one area at a time. Not spreading evenly and using large amounts at a time can cause this as well as it may not be compatible with other products. So using a simple moisturizer waiting 15-25 minutes them apply the spf in the manner described above can help. But pilling is very easy to happen so be careful with that otherwise good coverage.
