Bad ingredients
I got this sunscreen, and I did not read the ingredient list first: huge mistake! I did not realize that it was not a reef safe sunscreen. Since all drains lead to the ocean eventually, it is important to me to have reef safe sunscreen no matter where you live. The Octinoxate in it is not reef safe, so unfortunately I will not be repurchasing.

I am 26 years old (fair skin) and have suffered from cystic/hormonal acne most of my life. I was recommended this product by an esthetician two years ago and have incorporated it into my daily routine ever since. Most sunscreens feel so thick and greasy, leading me to touch my face a ton...which then causes me to break out. This stuff is so LIGHT and moisturizing, I forget it's there, and it doesn't sting my sensitive skin or my eyes. I also love that it kind of smells like playdough. Definitely pricey, but I haven't yet found a sunscreen that does what this does for my skin. (!) Giving it one less star only because it is so small and pricey.

great ingredients but
while this sunscreen has great ingredients for concerns other than sun protection, it does pill if you're applying after serums and moisturizers and oils which is kinda ridiculous. I know this has amazing reviews but I've used numerous different types of products and they ALL pill before or after applying the sunscreen. so this works only if you're bare faced. so I take a star off for that.

Effective SPF
This is my second time purchasing this product. It is a great daily SPF. One of my biggest issues with SPF is that I'm usually aware of it on my face, whether that's from the scent or it just feels physically heavy/greasy. This is not an issue at all with EltaMD. It rubs in easily, doesn't leave behind a sticky or greasy residue, and doesn't clog my pores. It also sits well under makeup. The only instance I wouldn't recommend this product for is exposure to sun via exercise or swimming, as it is not water-proof, and there have been times when I begin to sweat and it drips down my face in white or, if it doesn't reach that point, it re-dries but with a sort of grainy texture that pills if you rub it. I am not saying this as a dig on the product, but just so there are no expectations for it to withstand liquid/water of any kind.

My fav SPF
When I learned about SPF on my face every day, I was scared for my face because usually, Spf is greasy and sticky but this right here has been my holy grail. I have combination and super sensitive skin so is hard to find products that will not make my face irritated. I can tell you this the best SPF I have found it does not have a scent to it, with a pump is enough for your skin, and it melts into your face without that white residue.
