Great sunscreen for acne prone, sensitive skin.
I have bought the EltaMD UV Daily SPF 40 sunscreen before, and this sunscreen beats that one out of the water. It is primarily due to the fact that it contains niacinamide, which helps with acne prone skin, especially with hyper-pigmentation. I have leftover acne marks from previous acne spots and this sunscreen not only protects it, but it makes it less visible. I don't know much about science, but I believe there is some chemical in niacinamide that helps make hyper-pigmentation/acne marks less visible than they actually appear. After I apply this sunscreen, I wait 20 minutes for it to absorb into my skin and apply my foundation. Due to this special feature, I believe this sunscreen is the best one out of the other sunscreens that EltaMD has in their line. If you don't suffer from acne though, I'm sure any of their other sunscreen would work great. However, if you're like me and you struggle with hyper-pigmentation, then this is the sunscreen for you!

My dermatologist actually recommended the EltaMD UV Clear spf 46, as my new daily sunscreen. I was using another daily AM moisturizer with an spf of 30 at the time. I was honestly skeptical about UV Clear....I had read the other benefits to this product (reduces redness, great for sensitive skin, reduces shine, prevents breakouts, etc.) It is all true! And, a stronger spf level will help protect my skin from additional premature aging from daily sun damage. It is silky smooth, and totally not greasy. Try it, you just might love it like I do.

Great product - oil control sunscreen
Not all derm stuffs works great. This one is such decent sunscreen that truly does what it is claims. I use this every morning and normally I will become oil on my t-zone after 2 or 3 hours. After switched to this product, I am almost oil free for the whole morning. Elta MD is probably the only one brand that I would use without any doubts. I am very skeptical and cautious when I switch to any new skincare products, I would do researches and read reviews prior than purchasing that. Elta MD has never dis-pointed me.

Have tried many daily sunscreens / moisturizers- this is the BEST!
This product was first recommended to me by my dermatologist and I absolutely love it. I am a very active individual who is outside a lot and needs a daily sunscreen as well as moisturizer. I do not care for heavy, oily feeling products, and by far this is the most sheer and lightweight sunscreen I have used for my face. I use this everyday under my makeup, and it creates such a sheer layer without buildup. I also re-apply during the day over makeup and it is great for that too. I highly recommend EltaMDs sunscreens- I use the higher SPF Sport formulas for long running and activities and the UV Clear for everyday.
