No burning eyes!
This is by far the BEST sunscreen product I have ever used on my face. No sunscreen smell and best of all no running into my eyes when I sweat while exercising. Goes on nicely even under make-up!

Light sunscreen
I'm a retin-a user, so I need a good sunscreen but my skin is sensitive/acne-prone/dry.I have been wanting to go make-up free since my skin is clearing up and my other sunscreen (Glycolix Elite spf 30, which I love, leaves me with ghost face), so I looked for a transparent option. Since I am acne-prone, this seemed like the obvious one. I have medium tan olive skin, and this does go on transparent, but I expect that from a 9% ZnO sunscreen. I had an initial minimal reaction, I suspect to the niacinamide, in the form of teeny tiny little pimples. But those went away after a week or two. Besides, I totally prepare myself for that with any new product, it's normal! My issue with this sunscreen is that it's too light for me, even with a layer of CeraVe lotion underneath. Mid-day, my skin would be flaky and it was getting progressivly worse the longer I was using this sunscreen daily. I started mixing my Glycolix Elite in with it and it helped a lot. One full pump of the EltaMD UV Clear is enough for the face, neck, and top of chest. So go easy on the pressure if you're just applying to your face! Oh yeah, the finish is hard to explain. My face would feel slightly tight afterwards, but look shiny and was tacky to the touch. Powder would generally fix that. I'm on the fence whether I would purchase this again. It's not a bad sunscreen by any means, I think I just prefer a more emollient feel.

truly the most outstanding, all-around facial sunscreen i've used
i have very fussy, cystic acne-prone yet dry, sun-damaged, 33 year old Irish beyond-it's-years, why did I ever use a tanning bed in my youth skin...ever since majorly embarassing, upsetting Melasma (aforementioned tanning beds a decade ago) reared it's ugly head, I have been diligent and sunscreen obsessed. Melasma is a beast, and costly and difficult to get rid of, thus sunscreen even on rainy days is an absolute must. Obagi worked well, as have Chantecaille and a number of others, however I've found the Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46 to be hands down the best. It never upsets, burns, stings, breaks me out or irritates me. The zinc oxide blends surprisingly well. Living in Southern California, I wear it 365 days a year, the only time I don't wear it is to bed! Truly, if you have difficult skin that needs sun protection, I highly recommend it. I usually put it over the Glycolix Ultra Lite Moisturizer, but in the summer or if I don't seem to need additional moisture, just put it on after washing with Glytone & my Clairsonic...

Favorite daily face sunscreen ever!
My niece recommended this sunscreen to me and I am so thankful. I have searched for a daily sunscreen that didn't burn when applied, or look white, or be greasy on my skin. THIS is the one.
