I am at the phase of skin treatment where I am attempting to clear my skin of the blemishes from past acne. My dermatologist recommended I use this on top of the prescription topicals I currently use. This works very well as a moisturizer and a sunscreen and has not clogged my skin or caused any acne. I credit my derm for my (newly) clear skin, but this product works well in concert with everything else I use.

Not enough protection
Everything about this was great - the lightweight texture, ease of applying, no residue, no scent...unfortunately after trying out for two days in a row in sunny May weather with a UV index of at least eight, I came back with a ruddy face and neck. I don't know if I would call that a burn exactly but my skin felt tight and dry afterwards and I was expecting not to get any color. I burn after five minutes I think and should have been well protected for at least three hours - I did the math. I used to use Vanicream SPF 60 which was great but too thick and greasy. I haven't found anything as good as that so far that completely prevents any sun from getting through to my skin and that doesn't irritate my highly reactive skin. I would recommend this product to those who don't need as high of an SPF on their faces, especially those with medium to darker skin.

My favorite mineral sunscreen
I have high standards and lots of requirements for facial sunscreen. My skin is dry, so I need something that doesn't make me feel parched. I love this product--it's my holy grail of sunscreen and I've never said that before! I liked everything about the Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid except that it left a noticeable white cast on my face. The Elta does not, so that's huge! It absorbs fully and doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my face (NIA 24's mineral sunscreen was awful in this regard, and left a major white cast). I feel like it stays put for hours and protects me. I wear it over moisturizer and sometimes under makeup. It's great. Also doesn't run into my eyes or sting like chemical-based suncreens. I'd recommend it to anyone.

This sunscreen absorbs into your skin quickly. It is non greasy and I can't even tell its on! I used to dislike putting suncreen on my face because it felt so heavy and my face would look like an oil slick within an hour. This product doesn't do that. Its great. Will definitely buy again.
