EltaMD's UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 - Tinted calms and protects sensitive skin types prone to discoloration and breakouts from the sun's harmful rays. The universally flattering tint blends to match your skin tone and mask discoloration and breakouts to give you a smooth, flawless-looking complexion. Healing niacinamide alleviates inflammation to calm your acne flare-ups and helps decrease signs of hyperpigmentation.

Unfortunately gave me a bad skin reaction
I am very disappointed in this product and I am sad to say that it caused me to have a very bad reaction. Initially, the product seemed wonderful - the coverage was great, I loved how silky smooth it went on, and how my skin glowed after application. Everything seemed perfect and I was so happy to add this to my skin care routine! That is, until several hours later... I noticed that something was not right. I decided to go ahead and wash my face completely and lo and behold - my entire face was covered in a rash! Along with causing extreme reddening around my cheeks and jawline, I am covered in small red dots, mostly concentrating around my eyes and mouth/jawline. I am saddened that my skin did not tolerate the ingredients in this product well - I suspect that Octinoxate may be the culprit but cannot confirm. Although I had issues myself, this product seems fantastic and would most likely work well for others! [A bit of additional information about myself - I have issues with hyperpigmentation (hence, why I bought this product) and have been taking Retin-A (topical tretinoin) for approximately 4 weeks prior to trying this sunscreen; it is not clear if my reaction is linked to my tretinoin regimen but it might be. Please take caution and do a spot test before applying all over your face.]

My skin is reacting to it
I bought this product after carefully reading ingredients and reviews. It is appropriate for rosacea prone skin, it says on the bottle too. Unfortunately my skin is reacting to it. I have rosacea and trying to find products that I can use. This is a really good product, good texture and very nice light coverage. But at the end of the day my skin is more red, itchy, and irritated.

I got to try it; it was ok
I really wanted to like this sunscreen because of all the great reviews and good mix of ingredients but it just didn't work out for my skin. I wear physical sunscreens and was looking to try new brands and found this one that had great reviews. Unfortunately it made me breakout with white pustules all over my face. I blame this on the chemical sunscreen in it: octinoxate. I believe that if it didn't have this chemical sunscreen it would truly be a physical sunscreen and would work out for more people.

Won't use any other sunscreen
The only sunscreen I will use on my skin. Better than any other face sunscreen I have tried. I use to not wear sunscreen on my face because of how oily my skin would get. I have no issue with this one. One tip is do not use a full pump on your face. Half a pump is plenty. If you use too much you might not feel the same way I do about this sunscreen.

I have extremely dry skin. The winter months mean I have to layer this product with a few other face moisturizers. I can't wear it on its own. I have yet to use it in the summer! Overall it imparts a pretty glow to the skin-very easy to apply. I love the consistency. It's not too thin or too thick.

Tinted version, another keeper.
I'm a loyal user of the regular SPF 46, but since I have melasma, I wanted to try this tinted version not only to help hide my dark spots but also because I read that melasma suffers should cover the discoloration to protect even more from further damage. So far so good, the texture is the same as the original one, and the tint matches my olive skin tone. If I need more coverage, I'll layer another coat within 15-20 minutes of the first application.
