SkinCeuticals Blemish + Age Defense is an advanced solution to help eliminate adult acne while addressing wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone. A combination of 2% dioic acid with alpha and beta hydroxy acids prevent blemishes while diminishing hyperpigmentation and reducing wrinkles and fine lines. This targeted treatment also inhibits excess of sebum production, unclogs pores and helps prevent skin darkening from UV exposure.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Dioic Acid: naturally derived from vegetables, this ingredient helps reduce excess sebum
- 0.3% LHA (Caproloyl Salicylic Acid): a lipo-hydroxy acid, LHA, evenly exfoliates skin, decongests pores, and refines the skin’s surface
- 1.5% Salicylic Acid: a beta-hydroxy acid refines pores and helps reduce the formation of acne

If you have adult acne try this serum it's the best, this serum is my favorite serum for adult acne this one is fantastic, the price is high for both serums but they truly do work and the bottles will last you a long time if you are using the product correctly and not over using product

Not for sensitive skin
It may just be me, but I do not have luck with salicylic acid. My face broke out at 34 worse than it was at the age of 17. Deep and very painful cystic acne as a result of using this product. Unclog pores.... Not so much. This made me breakout in places where I have never broken out in my life. I am going back to good ol' benzoyl peroxide spot treatment, I picked up the drugstore brand ($8 bucks) and it cleared up most of the spots in a couple of day that this $90++ dollar serum caused. I get that there can be a "purge" but this was beyond that, a purge can bring out pre-existing stuff underlying in your skin, but to cause acne where you have never had it, painful swollen cysts and this is all in just a couple of days use. I have European skin that likes to get get, occasional break-outs and oily t-zone. If this is you, stay away from this poison.

Great serum for all around early aging
I am in my late 30's and this product addresses everything that I have going on with my skin. Didn't see much of a difference
Only been using this for a month. So far, not really seeing a difference in reducing the visibility of my hyperpigmentation. Also has an odd smell to it. Not a fan. Will finish the bottle first before I completely write it off though.

This serum works
I've been struggling with cystic and hormonal acne ever since I went off birth control a couple of years ago. I used a prescription retinoid cream which worked last time but the purging period not to mention dryness was horrible. The first morning after I used this serum I could tell most of my acne was better. The hyper-pigmentation spots were starting to lighten within a week. The best part is that my skin doesn't feel dry and tight. I use a gentle gel cleanser and oil-free moisturizer with this. I find I don't need other exfoliants when using this. It seems as though I've tried all of the creams and serums and this works for my 44 year-old acne prone skin. I see a clear complexion in my future. Last weekend I went to a wedding with only light concealer (I'm horrible at make-up) and didn't feel self conscious about my acne at all. I even got carded for my wine.
