Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Love it so far
Still too early to comment on the affects - I've only used it for 2 days - but so far I love the texture and it spreads really easier. I've been using CE Ferulic as well and find that I don't need as many drops of discoloration defense to cover the same area. So far so good!

This works!
I'm 46 and I have used sunscreen on my face daily for about 30 years. I'm fair skinned and normal daily activities would leave with a sunburn. So in high school, long before anyone was wearing sunscreen in their daily moisturizers (when the most I could find was SPF 15), I was doing so. My skin looks pretty good. I don't have a lot of discoloration or brown spots on my face and neck. But I have a couple that are pronounced and a few more around my eyes are popping up as I age. I got a sample of this and used it on only my spots and wow, what a difference I saw! They didn't go completely away, but they lightened so much that I couldn't see them under my light-coverage foundation. So I just bought this product again and I'm looking forward to seeing whether they lighten even more over time with consistent use.

Its okay....very expensive for what it is.
I noticed a little brightening at first, and maybe a slight change in subtle skin discoloration, however not significant enough really to pay THIS much money for a serum.

Helps diminish discoloration
Nearing my 50's has only heightened the emerging age spots and discoloration from not using SPF early in my 20's. I have been using this product in the evenings for about 3 1/2 weeks now and have begun to notice lightening of the darker pigment along my forehead and jaw line. I do use the SkinCeuticals Hyaluaronic Intensifier serum in the morning along with a SPF 50 face cream. While this product is a bit pricey, the results have been pretty good so far; just be patient as it doesn't happen overnight!

Did not notice a change
I received a few samples of this and tried them out. I suffered from acne when I was younger and picked at my face for years, not realizing my face would scar. I tried this out for a few weeks but saw no difference. Again, I just used a few small samples. Reading the reviews, some said they noticed difference after long usage. Not sure if this will be worth it to me to add to my skin routine. I would prefer other Skinceutical products over this.

This product has definitely helped. My esthetician at my dermatologist's office recommended it to me. I have hormonal acne and rosacea. Now that I have it under control, it has improved both my skin discoloration and acne-marks and doesn't cause any rosacea flare-ups. Results will take a couple of months to really see so you will need continued use. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. It doesn't really have much of a scent at application so that is a nice plus.
