Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

dark spots lighter but still there
Ok, so I have been using this for a year (morning/night) along with retin-A at night and SPF in the daytime. Together, skin is improved and the dark spots are lighter but definitely still visible. I'm thinking, "Do I need a procedure? Maybe..." Before that, I will try different lightening product when Discoloration Defense runs out.

Haven't noticed any changes....
I have been using this for almost 2 weeks and haven't noticed any change. That might not be enough time but I read other reviews where people said they bought 2 bottles before they started seeing changes, if at all. Considering you only need a few drops a day at most, that seems like it would take many months to see a difference. I just think there must be better options, especially given how expensive this is. I really love this brand but I'm not sold on this product.
