Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

It works!!
I easily get sun spots although I religiously wear sunscreen. I've been using this serum for a month and a half or so and I feel my whole complexion became even and bright. I will keep using the serum hoping it keeps doing its magic!

Need to use for awhile
I love skin ceuticals. They are a very high end skincare and have always seen results almost right away. But this product is taking a while to show the effects. But I'm sure if you continue to use, it will work better

amazing product for acne scarring
I did some extensive research before deciding to buy this product and I have to say I'm so glad I did. I was on accutane 3 years ago and while most of the acne scars are gone, I found that when I'd wake up, my scars were very visible. Hence why I was in search of finding some redness and scar relief. I got through about half of the bottle before I accidentally spilt it (face to palm), but I can say that I'll be buying another bottle ASAP because not only did it make my skin absolutely radiant and bright in the morning, it was a light moisturizer too. The bottle recommends using twice a day but I wanted to prolong my use (so much for that after spilling it!), so I only used it at night time after cleansing my face. I'm excited to try more SkinCeutical products now after this positive experience with the 'Discoloration Defense'.

amazing product
I just start using this product I absolutely love it. My skin is smooth and starts seeing little fading brown spot. It absorbs really well and has no smell. I love the way my skin feels. Great product only downside is the price.

I didn't see any change
I received a sample in by beauty box and also one from my esthetician. After using both bottles, I didn't see any difference. I will stick with my vitamin C from this line instead.

Brighter face
I have been using this item consistently as directed for over a month. My face has brighten a lot more and after a few weeks my hyperpigmentation has lighten around my cheek area. I will likely get the item again only if they have their Skinceuticals sale discount, which is not that often unfortunately and wish the regular price was not too steep. I also don't like the packaging for I like to see the amount of product left in the bottle.

Not impressed
I used this for about a month alongside my vitamin c serum in the morning. I really enjoy the texture of this, it's thicker than the c serum and easier to apply as a result. However after a month of use I cannot see any changes in my skin. I don't have a lot of discoloration or dark spots so it's possible this will work better for someone who does but I don't feel like this has done anything to even out the discoloration I do have.

Not sure it works?
I wanted to wait until I finished the bottle before giving my review. While I liked the texture (similar to an oil) since my skin is dry; I'm not sure it faded any of my pigmentation. Maybe I need more than 1 bottle? But given the price, it is hard for me to justify continuing just in case I will see results. 3 stars since the product felt nice and was easy to apply and did not cause any adverse reactions.
