Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

This product SHOULD work, considering it is filled with amazing brightening ingredients. I've only been trying it for a few weeks and no difference yet. But hoping that if I keep at it, it will be worth the wait.

So far, so good!
Really like this product so far! I've been using it for almost 2 months now, and between this and bumping up my retinol to every other night, I have seen a huge difference in the evenness of my skin. This product has definitely helped to fade a few of my hyperpigmented acne spots, although they are not totally gone. The product goes on nicely and I don't notice any smell. I'd recommend giving it a try!

Pretty good but not fantastic
Texture is good. I love the fact that there is niacinimide - one of my favorite skincare ingredients. After having tried numerous things to lighten my hyperpigmentation I know that there is no magic bullet out there. However, so far so good, and hoping to see positive results. I haven't noticed any dramatic changes but satisfied with the ingredients that I am putting on my face.

Clearer Complexion
I received a sample of this product in May's BeautyFix box and was so excited to try it. It actually works! I woke up to an even, clearer complexion. I didn't notice right away until my spouse said something to me. My overall tone just looked even. My face didn't look, creepy pale, like it usually does in the AM. I have not finished the small sample because I want to use it sparingly but will definitely purchase during DS' Black Friday sale.

Surprising
I was told that this product would dry out my skin. And it being in a dropper, I thought it would make my skin more oily. But surprisingly, it's super lightweight! Hopefully it makes a difference in my acne scars.

Works for me, brightens and subtly fading spots
I am a light-skinned Asian with a lot of hyperpigmentation. I have been using this for a couple months now and I see a difference. The biggest difference is that my entire face looks brighter, but my spots do seem to be fading. This product doesn't smell and isn't irritating to my sensitive skin. I'm hopeful of seeing continuing improvement.

I've tried this product now for about 2 months, I haven't seen much of a difference in the appearance of brown patches and uneven skin tone, I will continue to try for a bit longer but if I don't see results for the price, I'll have to try something different... and I'm a skinceuticals fan!

great for acne hyperpigmentation
I bought this a few weeks ago and have been loving the results. This combined with bimonthly peels have been extremely helpful in combating the hyper pigmentation I've had from acne breakouts. The difference in my skin has been unbelievable, I swear I can see the marks on my face fading each day after I use this. I know it's pricey for a small bottle but a few drops really go a long way. I use a few drops 2-3 times each day. I have medium/olive skin so I almost always have a dark spot after I have a pimple, and Discoloration Defense has been a lifesaver. Not sure how it effective it would be on deeper skin tones or darker marks, but it seems to be working well for me.
