Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

Discoloration Defense
I have been using this product for the past few weeks. It is a light serum that is easy to apply. Although I haven't noticed any of my freckles or other sun damage spots lighten, I feel my skin tone is less red and it appears more even. I think that time will tell if this serum is able to lighten sun spots, but overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now and have noticed an overall more softer and even skin tone. However, I have yet to see a diminishment in my dark spots. More time is needed to discern whether this is a great spot target treatment or not.

I purchased this right when it became available. I use many Skinceutical products as they all seem to work so well for me. I've used it faithfully for almost 4 weeks. I believe it will take up to 12 weeks to notice anything, but I actually think my skin looks even brighter now. Some of the brown spots have gotten lighter but with continued use I'm confident they'll continue to diminish. I use twice daily after CE ferulic in the morning and after Resveratrol in the pm.

I have just started using it 2 weeks back. No bad reaction , was getting excessive dryness so stopped Retin A for now. Will use the entire bottle and then will have a better idea if it works. On the whole have been using Skin Ceuticals products for over a year and like most of them, they work. So I am thinking this should too.

I have been using this for a few weeks now, in the morning after applying C E Ferulic and every other night (I alternate with a prescription lightening cream). I had Fraxel to remove melasma on my cheeks and so far this product has seemed to help keep my skin looking even. I've noticed the most improvement in reducing post-acne marks and also in reducing the redness on my cheeks caused by the prescription cream. I have oily skin and a lot of serums make my skin look shiny but this one soaks right into my skin, which I love. Overall, I like this product and will continue to use it.
