SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel is a soothing moisturizing gel-serum that hydrates, comforts and alleviates redness and sensitivity. Powered by hyaluronic acid, cucumber, thyme, and other botanical ingredients, Phyto Corrective Gel cools, soothes, and helps strengthen the skin barrier. 1Protocol: A clinical study was conducted on 30 subjects, Chinese females, 18-50 years old, with self-perceived redness. Phyto Corrective was applied over the face. Infrared images and temperature was taken immediately post-application.
2Protocol: A study was conducted on UVB stimulated 3D epidermal model with a blank control, negative control, positive control, and Phyto Corrective. Great Product
I have very sensitive skin, many products irritate my skin. Not this product. I definitely noticed an improvement in my redness and my sensitivity. It feels so good going on and doesn't leave a greasy film. It soaks into the skin. It is especially soothing after IPL or Frax Laser. I'm never without this product.

Helps redness
I ordered this product on recommendation of my dermatologist to help with redness due to rosacea. I've been using it for about a month now and can tell a difference as I've noticed less redness during the day and night. I apply it in the morning after Ferulic C Serum.

Good but not a miracle
I purchased this hoping it would help me with my ongoing rosacea struggle. While it is soothing upon application, I do not feel that this is a long-term helpful solution. If you are simply sensitive without a doctor-diagnosed condition like rosacea or something similar, this could be a good product to help bring down slight irritation and redness but it is by no means a miracle product and I had hoped by the price that it would be.

Not my favorite SkinCeuticals, but it might just be my skin
I have super sensitive skin, so I thought I would love this. I'm a huge SkinCeuticals fan, but something about this serum disagrees with my skin and more often than not burns my skin when I try to use it. My skin has to be feeling strong for it to feel good, which seems like it defeats the purpose of this product. But the texture is nice and when my skin is not too angry, it does have a nice cooling effect. I haven't given up on it yet!

I got a sample of thise product a few times in my Beautyfix box. The sample was insanely small that I barely saw any difference. However, I did end up getting a full size and I noticed that my dark spots were less visible. I didn't notice any hydration or moisturizing effect though.

spot treatment
Phyto gel does what it says. It gently even out skin tone and gives the skin a healthy glow. And is especially great with freshly healed red/pink-ish acne breakout dark spot. The gel is absorbed quick and won't leave greenish color on your face. I have used it on my whole face as it claims to be gentle enough for dry and sensitive skin. But it does dry out the skin a bit if I use a light cream afterward. Then I realized it contains fragrant and colorant in the ingredients. which is a no to my skin type. I didn't have any reaction while using it for a week and honestly see great results. I just don't want to abuse it. So I switch phyto gel as spot treatment or special days instead. But if you have oil to combination skin and want something toothing and brightening and natural-ish. Go for it!

Surprisingly Effective Hydrator
This serum was on my list for a while to help with redness and I am so happy I tried it! It is great for calming redness but also has very hydrating properties so I could go straight to an SPF afterwards!
