SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex .25 is formulated to renew the skin's tone and texture without irritating the skin. Retinol helps combat the signs of premature aging while magnolia bark extract soothes inflammation. Ideal for use twice a week to build tolerance to formula.

Apply in the evening after cleansing and toning and before applying your moisturizer. If a retinol product has never been used before, begin twice a week 2-3 days apart, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Apply to the entire face. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant. Mild redness, peeling and irritation are expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 30 or higher and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week following discontinuation.

Not bad but nothing amazing yet
I have very sensitive skin so I am always hesitant to try new products. This one hasn't made me break out or anything so that is a plus. I will say I have not noticed a crazy difference in my skin texture yet but I think I just need to build up my tolerance and start using it more often.

Using retinol consistently has drastically improved my skin. I tried using the 0.5 version, but it made my skin extremely irritated and flaky. The 0.25 version is perfect for me and does not cause any irritation if I use a good moisturizer after. Even if you only use this product once or twice a week, it'll make a difference!

Perfect beginner retinol
