Greasy feeling and pink

2

I liked this sunscreen at first but now I realize that it is not the best for me. For some reason, I thought this would be great for me because it had this thin watery formula. Yet, it stays greasy and never really dries down or gets matte. I am very fair with neutral to warm undertones but this is to pink for me. Even when applied thinly it gives me an unattractive pink cast that doesn't get any better with time. I love the idea of a pump but in the end, I think a spout is better because that way I can control what I get with more precision. The color is a lot like Colorscience's Faceshield but because this is thinner it is easier to spread. It may work for those with more melanin because it can be spread more thinly than many sunscreens. Yet, I don't think it's right for them to claim that this is "universal." It's simply only "universal" for those with pink skin. In addition, I think this has a fragrance. Although I don;t find it offensive it can be sensitizing for those with fragrance allergies or sensitive skin. Peter Thomas Roth's Mineral Max Sheild: Thicker formula that is equally greasy feeling once on, darker tint with more warm tones, and it has a higher SPF. No scent. Colorscience's Faceshield: Thicker formula that spreads easily and feels less greasy and looks more natural, it has more coverage, it has more SPF, the color is pink and very similar to Zincscreen but because it is thicker it has a lighter cast. No scent.

Nice mineral sunscreen!

4

I really like this sunscreen and it's definitely one of the best mineral options I've found! It has a nice pink tint that works well on my fair skin so I don't get any white cast. It leaves my skin looking dewy in a good way but I have discovered that it doesn't soak in and stays too dewy if I put it on over my regular moisturizer or use too much. It also leaves a weird residue on my hands every time I apply it but it washes off easily so not a big deal.

Great formula

5

I love the subtle tint as this rubs in really well and does not feel super thick like other zinc formulas.

Best daily sunscreen ever!

5

Living in the desert requires daily sun protection and this is the best quality mineral sunscreen for the face. I love that it's mineral and that it has that subtle pink hue to offset the blue-ish white residue that zinc often leaves behind. It's lightweight too. I've tried others and keep coming back to this one. I 100% recommend it!

Best facial SPF for sensitive skin

5

My favourite SPF hands down. I previously used Supergoop's Unseen Sunscreen which I also loved, but decided to move to a physical sunscreen to avoid so many chemicals sinking into my skin. This is the only zinc based sunscreen I've found that doesn't leave a weird white film on my face. The slightly tinted colour works really well, blends in naturally and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

New favorite sunscreen!

5

I have used the same mineral sunscreen for years now, but was in the market for a new one based on its low amounts of zinc and titanium dioxide. I decided to give this a try based on the high amount of mineral ingredients AND that it's tinted. I could not love this product more! The tint blends wit my skin tone. The texture is not too creamy and not too liquid, so it's very easy to apply onto the face. The bottle is also very convenient to use and prefer it over the traditional bottles with a twist cap. I would buy again!

Wanted to love but it never soaks in!

5

Going cruelty free and loved my La Roche Posey but they are not CF. Tried this as a replacement but it's a no go. It doesn't matter if I wash my face and put this on directly or put my azaleic acid on first, it never soaks in. It just sits on the surface and is sticky. On to the next one.
