Q Is it true that if you use a whitening toothpaste that it will make you break out?? Is that just around your mouth or on your face as well? And if this is true, what is the connection?
A

There has been some debate, but I believe that fluorinated toothpaste, which is what the majority of the population uses can cause breakouts around the mouth also known as perioral dermatitis. The breakouts are normally around ones mouth and look like a combination of eczema and rosacea. It is caused because the fluorine inflames this area and causes irritation.
