Q Hello! I am a 33 year old African American female and I recently changed my skincare routine after discovering I have dry, acne prone skin. I purchased the hydration line from Murad, a vitamin C product from Sunday Riley and eye cream from Kiehl’s. I started using it 2 weeks ago and now I have pimples everywhere and some of the ones on my cheeks are painful. The toner and the vitamin C products burn my cheeks, making them more sensitive. My original goals were to bring more hydration to my skin and clear my skin of acne scars and hyperpigmentation but now, it’s to get rid of these pimples all over my face. What should I do? Should I keep using them although they burn my skin?? I used my Neutrogena cleanser and it didn’t make my skin dry nor burned my skin. Thank you!

Thank you for reaching out to us. In answer to your question I would stop using the products that are making you burn. I would stop everything except you need hydration, I would recommend Dermalogica`s UltraCalming Barrier Repair . As of now you need to rebuild your skin barrier because it`s been irritated , this product will be calming and soothing for you right now until you get your skin under control.I hhope this helps, have a nice day!
